RMCH

In Northern Bangladesh, where methanol is a silent threat for the wide range of population, Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) started its journey as the first site of NIHR RIGHT4 Methanol POCT study, addressing methanol poisoning detection and treatment. Under the dedicated leadership of Principal Investigator Dr. Abu Shahin Mohammed Mahbubur Rahman, the site received Sponsor’s Authorization to  Open Trial Site (SATO) on 22 May 2025 and recorded its first enrollment on 30 June 2025. Even before its official debut, RMCH-001 sites story resonated on BBC World radio, bringing global attention to a local battle. Today, with a steadfast team—Site Trial Coordinator Toma Mehedi, Clinical Research Assistants Dr. Sadia Nusrat and Dr. Alomgir Hossen, and Clinical Research Nurses Most. Rajiya Sultana and Md. Wakil—the site carries forward with a mission of hope, precision, and healing against methanol poisoning.
