The continued use of paraquat is putting a large section of our population at significant risk. Paraquat has already been banned in 77 countries worldwide, highlighting the serious public health concerns associated with its use. It is therefore high time to take stronger action and consider banning the use of paraquat in Bangladesh to protect public health.

The Toxicology Society of Bangladesh (TSB) continues to advocate for the restriction and eventual banning of paraquat in Bangladesh for the greater benefit of public health.
