The CMCH site (Site Number: 02) for the NIHR Methanol POC Trial is located in the Department of Medicine, Units 13, 14, and 16, at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, Chattogram. Trial activities at this site began on 1st February 2025 with the commencement of Clinical Research Assistants (CRAs) and Clinical Research Nurses (CRNs). Professor Aniruddha Ghose is the Site Principal Investigator, and Dr. Abdullah Abu Sayeed and Dr. Rabiul Alam Erfan Uddin are the Co-Investigators of the study. The site received the necessary approvals from the BMRC on 28 January 2025, the DGDA on 6 February 2025, and the CMC Ethics Committee on 25 May 2024. SATO was received on 6 June 2025. The first patient—also the first enrolled in the trial—was recruited at this site on 22 June 2025. As of 5 August 2025, four patients have been screened, and three have been enrolled. The CMCH site team includes two Clinical Research Assistants: Dr. Sourav Chowdhury and Dr. Mohammad Salman; two Clinical Research Nurses: Promi Rani Dey and Sweety Gosh; and a Site Trial Coordinator, Sumaiya Ahmed.
