Prof Aniruddha Ghose
Dr. Aniruddha Ghose is a Professor of Medicine at Chittagong Medical College, Bangladesh. He holds an MD from Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujib Medical University and FCPS from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Ghose's career spans academic roles, including Associate and Assistant Professor, and clinical experience as a Resident Medical Officer.
A dedicated educator, he has been involved in the Faculty of Clinical Toxicology Short Course at the University of Adelaide since 2010. Dr. Ghose's current focus revolves around advancing medical knowledge and addressing health issues in Bangladesh. He leads the Venom Research Centre, focusing on improved antivenom provision, and is involved in projects such as FIEBRE and CCBOC Trial.
Beyond research, Dr. Ghose holds additional responsibilities, serving as Joint Secretary of the Toxicology Society of Bangladesh, Executive Committee Member of the Bangladesh Association for Advancement of Tropical Medicine, and Editor of the Journal of Chittagong Medical College Teachers Association. His unwavering commitment is to advance medical research and education for the well-being of his community and beyond. He is the Site Principal Investigator of CMCH site study of “Effectiveness of calcium channel blockade for organophosphorus and carbamate pesticide poisoning - an open, pragmatic, 3-arm RCT repurposing two widely available licensed medicines (CCBOC Trial)”.
